Meet Our Team
Cora Solem
OFFICE MANAGER
Cora joined The Buffalo Run Tax and Financial Group in November 2012. She is the Office Manager and assists with tax preparation, bookkeeping and QuickBooks consulting. Cora has earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science from CSU. She worked in a development environment as a Software Engineer for ten years. Most recently, Cora has spent the past seven years working as the office manager in the Tax and Financial Planning industry, which had her involved in all aspects of the business. Cora is married and has two kids. She loves spending time with her family. Her interests include hiking, jogging, and gardening.
Amirta Nand Kumar
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Amirta joined The Buffalo Run Tax and Financial Group in January of 2022 as our Operations Manager. She is originally from South Germany and has spent fifteen years in the financial services industry, first as a Bank Operations & Mitigation Specialist, and then as an Executive Assistant for a Financial Advisor. When she is not in the office, she can be found cross-stitching, gardening, practicing yoga, going on hikes, and spending time with her boyfriend, James, and mini dachshund, Toby.
Moira Reilly
CUSTOMER SUCCESS MANAGER
Moira joined the The Buffalo Run Tax and Financial team in 2024. She earned a Bachelor degree in from the Kansas State University and has built a career in Customer Success and Account Management in the Software, Real Estate and Financial Services Industries. Moira has experiences with early stage startups and large companies alike.
Christine Stolt
STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Christine joined The Buffalo Run Tax and Financial Group in April 2023 as a member of the Accounting team. She earned a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado and worked as a Software Engineer for many years. Christine has also been a business owner in the property management industry. She enjoyed the financial side of the business and decided to transition into accounting.
Christine loves spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, cooking, camping, doing puzzles, and listening to music.
Blaine Birney
TAX STRATEGIST
In August 2023, Blaine became a member of The Buffalo Run Tax and Financial Group, following a five-year tenure as a tax preparer at Jackson Hewitt. During his time at Jackson Hewitt, Blaine progressively climbed the corporate ladder, ultimately achieving the position of tax manager/supervisor, where he supervised operations across five office locations.
Blaine earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Northern Colorado. Currently, he is actively pursuing certification as an Enrolled Agent to further his expertise in taxation.
Hailing from Colorado, Blaine's life has been intertwined with sports, particularly baseball, from an early age. He was given the opportunity to pursue a professional baseball career after high school, though he ultimately declined, and his decision was reinforced by a career-ending injury that followed shortly thereafter. Despite this setback, Blaine views it as a hidden blessing and remains engaged in sports, either through playing or coaching in his free time.
Outside of his professional and athletic pursuits, Blaine finds joy in spending quality time with his wife, two sons, and their three dogs.
Victoria Lopez
CPA
Victoria Lopez is a seasoned Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience. She earned a bachelor’s in accounting from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. She has been in public accounting since 2003 and performed audits and assisted clients with bookkeeping and payroll. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and extensive experience with QuickBooks and love of Excel. Growing up in Alaska, she has a lifelong love for the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, camping, photography, and whitewater rafting.
Michael Pyle

Michael Pyle is a Kansas City native and a passionate financial planner dedicated to helping individuals and families take control of their financial futures.
